What issues should be noted when using hooks?
(1) The hook must have technical certification documents such as the manufacturer's certificate of conformity before it can be put into use. During use, inspection, maintenance, and scrapping should be carried out in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Crane Equipment Safety Regulations (GB6067-85).
(2) Casting hooks are not allowed to be used in lifting machinery.
(3) The hook should be equipped with a safety device to prevent accidental detachment of the lifting load.
(4) The surface of the hook should be smooth and free of peeling, sharp corners, burrs, and cracks.
(5) If one of the following situations occurs with the hook, it should be scrapped.
① Cracks.
② The wear of the dangerous section reaches 10% of the original size.
③ The opening has increased by 15% compared to the original size.
④ Torsion deformation exceeding 10 °.
⑤ Plastic deformation occurs in the dangerous section or neck of the hook.
⑥ When the wear of the plate hook liner reaches 50% of the original size, the liner should be scrapped.
⑦ When the wear of the plate hook spindle reaches 5% of the original size, the spindle should be scrapped
(6) Defects on the hook must not be welded
