There are significant differences between theatrical hand chain hoists and industrial hand chain hoists in terms of design objectives, performance parameters and application scenarios. Theatrical hand chain hoists are standard-equipped with anti-derailment devices (such as spring locking structures) to prevent accidental chain disengagement, in compliance with ASTM E1672 stage equipment safety standards. The hooks are provided with anti-slip rubber pads and safety tongues to avoid swinging and falling of lifting gear, meeting the requirements of PAS 2015 certification. Industrial hand chain hoists have basic anti-derailment designs (absent in some low-end models), and pay more attention to static load-bearing strength, such as GB/T 10051.1-2010 industrial standards. The top (hangers) of theatrical hand chain hoists are truss-specific interfaces (such as 38mm round tube buckles or M12 bolt holes), which can be directly fixed to stage lighting racks or grids. Some models are equipped with DMX signal interfaces (such as Kinesys Vector Hoist) to support linkage control with the stage control system. The top of the industrial hand chain hoist is a universal lifting ring or hook, which needs to be used with an I-beam track or a lifting bracket, and has no stage equipment interface.
