What should I do if the stage electric hoist suddenly loses power?
Electric power is always essential for stage performances, including lighting, sound systems, and electric hoists. So a question that one must be concerned about when using a stage electric hoist arises: what if the stage electric hoist suddenly loses power? Sudden power outages can have some impact on machines in use, but for electric hoists, the impact can be significant. What should we do when the electric hoist suddenly loses power?
Firstly, like lighting and sound systems, if there is a sudden power outage, the operator of the stage electric hoist should immediately stop operating, turn off the power, and restore all control buttons to their original positions. Otherwise, if the power is cut off for a few seconds and then suddenly comes back, it is easy to burn out the motor without turning off the power.
Secondly, if the lifted cargo is still in a suspended state, efforts should be made to loosen the brakes and allow the cargo to slowly land.
Finally, the main reason for the sudden power outage of the stage electric hoist is due to power supply or wiring issues. So after a power outage occurs, it is necessary to first disconnect the electric hoist from the power line, check whether the power supply system is supplying power to the electric hoist, whether the main control circuit of the electric hoist is damaged, and whether the circuit has poor contact. If it is confirmed that there is no fault, then you can turn on the power and retest.
Various accidents related to the use of electricity in stage performances can occur. In the face of sudden situations, operators should have good psychological qualities and be adaptable in order to resolve difficulties.
