How to maintain the lifting chain of a chain hoist
When using a chain hoist outdoors, such as at construction sites, docks, ports, etc., it is inevitable to encounter adverse weather conditions such as rain. For example, acid rain can leave a great impression on the chain hoist. The corrosiveness of acid rain can rust the chain hoist, and the lifting chain may experience difficulty in pulling, which greatly affects the lifting operation and reduces our work efficiency and service life. So how should we maintain it? Here are several methods to introduce to you:
If the chain hoist is used in the rain, it should be wiped clean with a cloth or dried with a hair dryer, then coated with rust proof grease and placed in a dry environment.
2. The surface of the brake should be kept clean and regularly inspected to prevent failure and falling during braking.
After cleaning and maintenance, a no-load test should be conducted to check the braking effect to ensure safe production.
4. During maintenance and inspection, do not easily disassemble the chain hoist.
Hand chain hoists also have a service life. When operating them, they should follow the operating procedures to avoid collisions and falls. This not only ensures our personal and property safety, but also extends the service life of hand chain hoists.
