Electric hoists represent their own machinery, strength, and toughness, while the stage is elegant, flowing, and soft, with conflicts and collisions between the two.

One of the core causes of inflexible operation in the handle of the audio stage hoist control box is often rust. Metal components, when exposed to the stage environment for a long time, are prone to oxidative rust due to changes in air humidity, dust accumulation in performance venues, or occasional water splatters. This leads to stuck handle rotation and delayed key feedback. To address this issue, precise rust removal not only restores smooth operation of the components but also slows down the recurrence of rust. Below are scenario-specific operation methods and precautions:

For components with slight rust and retaining their original surface smoothness — such as the rotating shaft connecting the handle of the audio stage hoist control box to the controller body, and the metal contacts at the bottom of the buttons — it is recommended to use fine sandpaper with a grit size of 400 or higher. These components of the audio stage hoist control box are usually equipped with electroplated layers or precision-polished surfaces, which directly affect the tactile feel and sensitivity during operation. When sanding, cut the sandpaper into small pieces that fit the size of the components, and gently wipe the rusted areas along a unidirectional straight path, avoiding back-and-forth sawing motions. Unidirectional operation can utilize the cutting force of the sandpaper to remove surface rust in a targeted manner, while minimizing repeated wear on the plating. Conversely, back-and-forth sanding may cause rust particles to embed into plating scratches, worsening the stuck issue and even damaging the sealing performance of the components. After sanding, wipe the surface with a lint-free cloth dipped in a small amount of anhydrous alcohol to thoroughly remove residual rust particles and sandpaper debris, preventing impurities from causing jams again during subsequent use.
