The electromagnetic brake of the stage truss winch is a core component ensuring the safe operation of stage equipment. Its safe operation and maintenance require focusing on the following matters to cope with the complex working conditions of frequent start-stop and variable loads in stage scenarios: Accurate Matching of Protection Devices: The trigger threshold of the overload protection devices (such as weight limiters and torque sensors) for the stage truss winch must be strictly calibrated. It should ensure that when the load exceeds the weight corresponding to the maximum braking force of the brake (for example, for a hoist with a rated lifting capacity of 1 ton, the maximum bearing capacity of the brake usually does not exceed 1.3 tons), the motor power supply can be cut off within 0.5 seconds, and the brake is locked at the same time to prevent the hook from continuing to sink due to inertia. Reliability of Linkage Mechanism: Overload protection cannot rely solely on a single sensor. It needs to form a "double interlock" with the hoist control system — when an overload is detected, not only should the motor operation be stopped, but also mechanical locking structures (such as pawl-type anti-fall devices) should be used for auxiliary braking to avoid loss of protection in case of sudden failure of the electromagnetic system. Regular Calibration and Testing: An overload simulation test should be conducted once a week. Standard counterweights (gradually increasing from 1.1 times to 1.2 times the rated weight) are used to verify whether the protection device is triggered, ensuring that the error does not exceed ±3%. If trigger delay or insensitivity is found, the accuracy of the stage truss winch sensor and the tightness of circuit connections must be checked immediately.
