The lifting chain has high tensile and shear strength, and it is important to have appropriate tightness during use. If it is too tight, it will increase power consumption, and bearings and chains are prone to wear and even chain breakage; If it is too loose, it is easy to jump and fall off the chain.
When this product is severely worn, it is necessary to replace the sprocket and chain with new ones to ensure good engagement. We cannot simply replace the high-strength chain with a new one, otherwise it will cause poor engagement and accelerate the wear of the new chain or sprocket.
The old chain cannot be mixed with the new chain, otherwise it is easy to cause impact in the transmission and break the high-strength chain.
Due to different manufacturing processes, different chains are not allowed to be welded together. After the lifting chain wears out, it needs to be replaced in a timely manner. Do not neglect the replacement due to the desire for trouble, which will affect the use.
What should be noted when cleaning the lifting chain?
The lifting chain is made of high-quality alloy steel, and the following precautions should be taken when cleaning metal products:
1. Do not use strong acidic or alkaline cleaning agents (such as rust removers), as these chemicals can cause chain damage or even breakage.
2. Do not use a chain washer with added solvents to clean the chain, as this cleaning method will definitely damage the chain.
3. Avoid using organic solvents such as degreasing oil, as this not only damages the environment but also washes away lubricating oil.
4. Clean your chain after every rain, especially in rainy and humid environments.
5. Be sure to use a dry cloth to wipe the chain and its accessories.
Special attention:
After cleaning, lubricating oil should be applied and excess oil on the chain should be wiped off with a dry cloth to prevent dirt and dust from adhering.
