Dual Brake System

Working Principle:

The dual brake system equipped on the W12 stage electric hoist usually consists of two electromagnetic brakes with a rated torque of 14N·m. During the operation of the electric hoist, the electromagnetic brakes are in the power-off release state, allowing the motor to drive the reduction mechanism, which in turn drives the drum to realize the lifting and lowering actions of the hoist. When it is necessary to stop the operation, the electromagnetic brakes are quickly energized and magnetized. Under the combined action of the spring force and the electromagnetic force, the brake device instantly clamps key transmission components such as the motor shaft or the high-speed shaft, making the electric hoist stop running within an extremely short time. In this dual brake system, the two brake devices are independent of each other yet work in coordination. When one of the brake devices malfunctions, the other brake device can immediately respond and bear the entire braking load, effectively preventing safety accidents such as the accidental slipping of the hoist and significantly improving the reliability and safety redundancy of the brake system.
