The lifting chain is an important component of lifting tools, mainly used to lift heavy objects with a crane, but it also comes with some problems. Importantly, it is one of the parts of many lifting rigs that directly play a lifting role.
Galvanizing effect on lifting chains
1. Galvanization is the process of melting zinc ingots, adding materials, and immersing the chains into a galvanizing bath to allow the zinc layer to adhere to the surface of the chains.
2. Hot dip galvanizing has strong anti-corrosion ability, good adhesion, and high hardness.
3. The surface of the chain is galvanized, which stabilizes the performance of the chain and is easy to weld.
Galvanized chain type
1. Transmission chain: The chain that mainly transmits power.
2. Conveyor chain: mainly used for conveying chains.
3. Traction chain: mainly used for traction and suspension.
4. Dedicated chain: mainly used for specific mechanical devices, targeting specific functions and structures.
Visual inspection of lifting chains:
1. Whether it is deformed or rotated, and whether the pin is corroded.
2. Is there any damage or excessive wear
3. Whether the joint is loose or deformed
4. Is there any abnormal noise or vibration during operation, and the chain lubrication is good
Operators must pay attention to checking their work. Before use, check the chain and observe if there is any wear or cracks that may affect the safety of the crane. If any, it should be dealt with immediately to ensure safe operation.
