The history of theHand chain block for theatre can be traced back to ancient Greek times. The "pulley" made by Archimedes based on the principle of leverage and widely used at that time was its predecessor. Later, the "pulley" was introduced into China, and after several improvements, the "differential pulley" was derived from it. However, these were not hoisting blocks in the true sense.
With the development of the times, the application scenarios of Hand chain block for theatre have been continuously expanded. Due to their characteristics such as being easy to carry and simple to use, they have gradually been applied in theaters and other places. The hand chain blocks used in early theaters may have been relatively simple and crude, and the operation was relatively laborious. But with the continuous progress of technology, modern theater hand chain blocks have been greatly improved in design and manufacturing. For example, high-quality alloy steel materials are used, and devices such as limiters and overload protection devices are added, reducing the risks during the usage process. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of special places such as theaters, some hand chain block products specifically designed for theaters have also emerged. For example, Hand chain block for theatre with a low headroom design can carry out hoisting operations above the limited-space theater stage. Some hand chain blocks also pay more attention to the coordination with the theater environment in terms of appearance design, adopting beautiful shell shapes and surface treatment processes.
