The damage to the hook of the chain hoist can be classified according to the severity: hook deformation, hook cracking, hook fracture, and different damages have different treatment methods.
If the hook deforms, it is necessary to first check whether the degree of deformation of the hook is within the safe range. If the deformation is severe, a new hook needs to be replaced. If the deformation is relatively minor, it can still be used, but attention should be paid to not overloading during use.
If there are cracks or breaks on the surface of the hook, a new hook needs to be replaced immediately. The hook of a chain hoist is a forged hook, and once damaged, it cannot be used anymore. It is strictly prohibited to weld the hook without authorization.
