Some people say that the chain hoist is often coated with oil, which cannot be completely absorbed and eventually turns into dirty oil. The appearance of the chain hoist looks very dirty and full of oil stains, and pulling the chain can easily cause hand slippage, posing a huge safety hazard. So is it right to apply oil to the chain gourd every day?
It is correct to frequently apply oil to the chain hoist, but the amount of oil applied should not be excessive. If too much oil is applied, the oil will not be absorbed and after a few days, the surface of the chain hoist will be covered with dirty oil. If the grease becomes dirty oil, it will not only fail to protect, but also accelerate the damage of the chain block.
Before applying lubricating oil to the chain hoist, wipe off the surface dust with a cloth. The main components to be applied are chains, sprockets, hooks, and other components. When applying grease, use a steel brush to dip in an appropriate amount of grease and make sure not to apply too much. Apply lubricating grease evenly on the surface of the components, then air dry to allow the grease to be fully absorbed. If there is excess oil, it needs to be wiped, otherwise it will turn into dirty oil over time.
