How to check the stage lifting belt
Stage lifting straps are the most commonly used type of lifting equipment, and safety issues have always been a concern for everyone. Frequent lifting accidents have also raised awareness of production safety. Pre work inspection of lifting straps is an important measure to eliminate safety hazards. So, how should we do a good job in inspecting lifting straps?
1. The specifications and parameters indicated on the stage lifting belt label are completely consistent with those listed on the certificate. Before each use, check the sling for any defects and ensure that there are clear markings and labels. Lifting straps that cannot identify technical specifications must not be used.
2. When using, it is necessary to consider the given ultimate working load, the lifting mode, and the nature of the load in order to correctly select the specifications of the stage lifting belt. Overloading is strictly prohibited.
3. Suitable for use within the temperature range of -40 ℃ to 100 ℃. At low temperatures, it is necessary to ensure that the sling is dry to prevent moisture on the sling from freezing, causing cutting and grinding of the sling, and reducing its flexibility.
4. A trial lifting should be conducted. The loose part of the sling should be pulled up first until it tightens. Lift the load slightly and check if it is securely tied and matches the intended location.
5. The lifting device in contact with the eye ring must be smooth without any sharp edges. The length of the eye ring shall not be less than 3.5 times the maximum thickness of the lifting device, and in any case, the angle formed by the eye ring shall not exceed 20 degrees.
The above five points are the core points of the lifting belt inspection work. Any loophole in any link may pose a hidden danger of accidents, which cannot be ignored by everyone. In addition, it is reminded that when purchasing a lifting belt, it is important to have a clear understanding of what object it is used to lift and whether it is suitable.
