Electric hoists represent their own machinery, strength, and toughness, while the stage is elegant, flowing, and soft, with conflicts and collisions between the two.

Lifting Sling

Brief Explanation :

The lifting sling is a flexible lifting rigging made of high-strength synthetic fibers (such as polyester and nylon) as the core material through special weaving and sewing processes. It realizes hois

It is strictly forbidden to use lifting slings after knotting them. This operation will drastically reduce the load-bearing strength of the slings—by up to more than 50% in the worst case. At the same time, it causes local stress concentration on the sling body, making it extremely prone to breakage at the knotted part. From a mechanical perspective, the strength of a lifting sling relies on the uniform force-bearing of its fibers. Knotting creates a "fold angle" on the sling, forcing the load that was originally distributed across the entire width of the sling to concentrate on a small number of fibers at the knot, which far exceeds the load-bearing capacity of those local fibers.

Knotting not only causes strength loss but also inflicts permanent damage on the sling body. When under stress, the fibers at the knotted part rub against and squeeze each other, leading to fiber abrasion and fuzzing. Even after the knot is untied, the strength of these fibers cannot be restored, and there remains a risk of breakage when the sling is used again.

If it is necessary to adjust the length of the lifting sling to adapt to different operating scenarios, special sling adjusters or supporting rigging accessories (such as shackles and lifting rings) should be used. The stress points should be changed through standardized connection methods instead of simply knotting the sling. Before operation, check whether the lifting sling is knotted or has creases; if so, smooth it out in a timely manner before use. For slings that have suffered local abrasion due to knotting, they must be immediately taken out of service and marked for scrapping.
